ANNUAL REPORT 2024
I
We are blessed to be completing 10 years of service which has positively impacted thousands of lives, changed, for the better.
Here are the highlights of our accomplishments this year.

Life Skills for Success-Building Confidence & Tools for Living Wage Jobs. In May we completed our first Life Skills education classes for 20 youth participating in a job training program for transition-aged youth, offered by the San Diego Housing Commission which provides support and education to assist the participants with becoming certified Medical Assistants and job placement. In addition to the medical curriculum, SDHC included our Life Skills education program as an important part of youth development and confidence building, tools necessary for completion of the program. There are 4 cohorts scheduled over a two-year grant term, with 40 youth being served each year, or a total of 80 participants. The onsite classes are held at the Western Medical Training facility in El Cajon and are taught by James Robins, Executive Director and Kristi Tupolo a Life Skills class graduate and Certified Life Coach. There were 17 youths whom have successfully completed the RLS program and graduated with an MA certificate.

Housing Stability Helping Residents from Being Evicted. Our program with Hope through Housing Foundation (HTHF) got underway in February. They have nine locations throughout the San Diego Region participating in the Collaborative Housing Retention Intervention Program (CHRIP). We provide life skills services and coaching to program enrollees referred to RLS because they are at imminent risk of eviction. James Robins has been the Lead staff for this project and has served six participants during the past grant term.

Faith Ministries - Serving Others in Need. In March 2024 James Robins pastor at (Make It Plain Bible Church) in Spring Valley, offered Real Life Skills classes for its members. Kristi Tupolo, taught classes on Saturday evenings at the Professional Development Institute with strong class participation, serving 10 students over an 8-week period with Graduation Day on May 4.
